This is the privacy policy for davidhacks.com, a web design and app development service. Short version: this site collects almost nothing, and nothing without asking.

what this site collects

Analytics (optional): if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, Google Analytics (tag G-9ZPJ624GNS) sets cookies and collects anonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type. This helps me understand which parts of the site work. If you click "Decline" or ignore the banner, no analytics run and no analytics cookies are set.
Contact details (only if you reach out): if you text (201) 667-7226 or email [email protected], I receive whatever you send — your phone number or email address and your message. It's used only to reply to you and discuss your project.

cookies

The only cookies on this site are Google Analytics cookies, and they are set only after you consent via the banner. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie, never sent anywhere) so the banner doesn't nag you twice. You can change your mind anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser — the banner will re-appear.

what this site does NOT do

No selling or sharing of your data with anyone.
No ads, ad tracking, or retargeting pixels.
No accounts, no forms silently harvesting data, no newsletter lists.

third parties

Google Analytics (consent-gated, above) processes usage data per Google's privacy policy. Cloudflare serves and protects this site and may process IP addresses transiently for security (DDoS filtering, caching) per Cloudflare's privacy policy.

data retention & your rights

Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults. Contact messages stay in my inbox/phone until deleted. Want anything about you deleted, or a copy of it? Just ask: [email protected] — I'll handle it promptly.

changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes get a fresh consent banner.
